Rankings Explained

RANKINGS EXPLAINED for season 1 August 2017 to 31 July 2018.

The ESA Rankings for the 2016 – 2017 season will include the National Star Classes.

  1. Junior Horses will be split out from Adult Horses, where Junior Horses will have their own rankings.
  2. Riders that compete on more than 1 horse at the same event will be awarded points for their best result only.  For example if you compete in the 80 and the 100 classes, and you come first in both, you will be awarded the 14 points for the 100, however both horses will be awarded 14 points for the 100 and 10 points for the 80.  The positive is that the rider has more than 1 chance of scoring good points.
  3. SANESA riders form part of the SANESA rankings and earn SANESA points and will not form part of the Junior Rider Rankings.

Below is a table for earning points for the riders and horses. If you are eliminated from an Event you will not receive ranking points.
